Dr. Schmid grew up on a farm just over an hour west of Omaha. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and graduated from the UNL and Iowa State 2+2 Veterinary program in 2013.
Since 2013, Dr. Schmid has worked in mixed practice, enjoying general medicine with a focus on internal medicine and the opportunity to get to know each pet’s unique personality. He is trained in abdominal ultrasound and performs advanced surgeries such as gastropexies, providing comprehensive surgical and diagnostic care for his patients.
His wife serves full-time in the National Guard and was relocated to Lincoln, bringing the family back to Eastern Nebraska and closer to relatives. They have two young daughters, Evelyn and Adeline. In his free time, Dr. Schmid enjoys working out, reading, and watching movies.
